Before you can perform the Hajj, you must first understand what the steps in Umrah are. Umrah has three major parts: Ihram and Tawaf. Ihram is the first of the three and involves a ritual prostration. Tawaf represents the unity of believers. Sam represents the struggle in daily life. Sam’s also involves the tawaf and the haircut.
Ihram
Before performing the pilgrimage, men and women must first enter Ihram, or the purification ritual. Men must change into two separate fabrics – a sarong and a dhoti. Women can wear any clothing. They should perform ghusl, however, if they are on menstruation or post-natal bleeding. Men must also avoid perfume and other items that could make them unclean while in Ihram.
While Umrah is not an obligatory ritual, it is considered a commendable act by Allah. Like USA Hajj, Umrah is performed at any time of year but is traditionally done during the holy month of Ramadan. Umrah rituals are shorter and simpler than those of Hajj, though the two are similar. Tawaf, or prostration, involves circumambulating the Kaaba seven times in a counterclockwise fashion.
The Ihram ritual includes four essential actions that are required before entering the Kaaba. In addition to shaven heads and necks, Muslims must also perform two Rakahs of Salah. Next, they must perform the DarudShareef, an important supplicatory prayer. Finally, they must advance to the Kabah to perform Tawaf. Tawaf is the most sacred act performed during Umrah.
Tawaf
If you’re unable to touch the Kaaba, you can recite the Dua and touch the ground with your hands instead. Alternatively, you can point and say Bismillah, Allahu Akbar. You must repeat the ritual seven times. Performing Tawaf during sunrise or sunset is highly recommended, as the twilight hours are less crowded. The following instructions will help you perform Tawaf during sunrise and sunset.
The first step in performing Tawaf in Umrah is to dress appropriately. Men wear their charm, and women wear their heads shaved. In order to perform Tawaf in the Kaaba, both men and women must cover their heads, except for the part where the hair reaches the eyebrow. In addition, men are required to perform Ramal during the first three rounds of Tawaf, while women perform the tawaf seven times.
Sam’s
The act of Sa’ee is a compulsory part of Hajj and Umrah. It involves running or walking seven times between two hills – Safa and Marwa – located near the Holy Ka’bah and Masjid al-Haram. The ritual is conducted at least once every day, seven times during the course of the yearly pilgrimage. It is an act of faith, obedience, and sincerity.
The act of Say is performed in the same manner as in the rest of the ritual. It is not necessary to perform the ritual in a complex way. The common way is to perform the sea’s. Here are the steps to perform the sea’s:
During the day, the first prayer of the Say is offered. It is done in the Arafah Mosque and is combined with the Asr prayer. The prayer is said with the Qibla and the Prophet’s words: “There is no god but Allah.”
Haircut
If you’re a Muslim and you’ve just completed Umrah, you may wonder if getting a haircut is permissible. While some people may be able to get away with shaving their head, others prefer to cut a portion of their hair. If you’re not sure which option to choose, we’ve compiled some information for you. During the Umrah, women are permitted to have a short haircut but must not remove their charm or clip nails. Women should keep their hair at a fingertip length. Haircuts are also permissible in Hajj al-Tamattu, as long as they’re done before sunset on the 12th of Dhul Hijjah. For women who wear a scarf, it’s best to leave their locks long enough to be covered.
